    Prepare the system

    Install RHEL / AlmaLinux / Oracle Linux (8 or 9), then update the OS:

    dnf update
    apt update && apt upgrade -y
  2. 2

    Run the installation root

    One line, and the central installs itself:

    curl -L -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/centreon/centreon/25.10-latest/centreon/unattended.sh | sh

    The script then automatically:

    • Enables SELinux (permissive mode)
    • Installs the Centreon repository
    • Installs Centreon
    • Sets the PHP timezone
    • Adds firewall rules (only if firewalld is enabled)
    • Enables and starts the processes

Centreon Monitoring Agent

The Centreon Monitoring Agent (CMA) is a lightweight, secure, next-generation agent that natively monitors Linux and Windows hosts. It streams metrics and checks to your platform over encrypted gRPC, installs in seconds and runs with a tiny footprint, with no plugin to deploy on the host. MCP is an open standard: any Model Context Protocol compatible client can connect to this server.

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.13+ (or Docker)
  • A Centreon instance reachable from the MCP server
  • A personal API token (Configuration > Users > API tokens)
